Innovative Reading Note: Importance
After reading a selection from the NYS Common Core Module, the instructor will ask the student about the parts that they felt were most important. As each student raises their hand the instructor will write that idea or concept on the board. Once all the students have been able to share or support an idea that has already been said, the class will vote on the top four most important things about the reading. Using the worksheet provided, the students will fill out the things that the class decides are the most important by listening to their peers and following along as the instructor fills out the worksheet on the board.
